This gorgeous log home is tastefully decorated and meticulously maintained and is the perfect place for a retreat to nature. Artists, photographers, bird watchers and nature buffs alike will find this private abode a wonderful place to be creative.

The original log home was built in 1890, with the additions built in 1990. There are 7 private acres with 3 barns on the property.

The Bruce Trail is located minutes from this cottage, and you are within a short hike to "Devil's Monument" - one of the many geological wonders of the Bruce Peninsula.

Maybe it's peace and tranquility you are looking for, then pull up a chair and enjoy the sound of nature overlooking meadows flowing with wildflowers.

In the spring and fall, Dyer's Bay is a focus point for birders in the Bruce Peninsula. The Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory records hundreds of migrating birds that cross over this area each spring and fall. Not only birds can be seen in Dyers Bay, but many other creatures can be seen here. Black bears, coyotes, minks, and red squirrels to name a few are also regular visitors in the neighborhood.

Fishing is at it's best in Dyer's Bay. There is a municipal Dock located minutes from Applewood retreat, and from here you can fish for prize winning salmon and trout in the cold deep waters of Georgian Bay
